Where did you find your inspiration for creating Essence?

Everything has come to a specific request of Narciso. He sent me a small vial containing a perfume secret gift from a woman he has known during his childhood in Cuba ... I was simply asked to transcribe!

 Did he gave you additional instructions?

As For Her, musk was at the center perfume. I believe that Narcisso chose me because he likes the way I've worked on other juices such as Mugler Cologne. In addition, Narcisso was fully involved in the project, it was the artistic director and was very pleasant to work together.

Can you tell us a little about the formula?

It should alleviate musk, give freshness and light. We have done with aldehydes and the floral note, of course, a Bulgarian rose concrete worked so very modern.

Are you familiar with the name of the perfume, it will influence there?

The name was kept secret until the end! Narcisso has imposed itself, imagining the scent as the essence of simplicity and refinement. As for me, I prefer working on the abstract, without knowing neither the name nor the bottle. Here, I could be tempted to create more solar juice in response to mirror the bottle.

Is there any similarities between Essence and For Her?

Apart from the musk, I see none. I love For Her, and it was a challenge to create a different flavor, but in continuity with the universe Narcisso. However, one can speak of olfactory signature, in the sense that Narcisso completely involved in the project. He said he wishes and his orchestra every step precisely.

Acqua di Gio, Flower by Kenzo, Cologne: You've created a lot of hits. Does it add pressure when developing a new formula?

Not particularly. I am very involved in each project and I do not success, I just wish to do well. Often, a success born of simple ideas developed at the beginning of the project. This is also the case for Essence : after more than a year of research, we returned to the original ideas!
