Après 5 ans de travaux et 13 ans de négociations, la Cité de l’Architecture et du Patrimoine dévoile enfin ses 23 000 m² d’espace entièrement dédiés aux monuments français. Découvrez les trois galeries respectivement au service des moulages depuis la période romane jusqu’à la Renaissance, de la peinture représentative de l’art français du XIIe au XVIe siècle, et de l’architecture française moderne et contemporaine.
Une première exposition présente la Blown Data House des architectes Dominique Jakob et Brendan Macfarlane, un édifice qui s’inscrit dans une démarche environnementale. La cité offrira régulièrement un grand nombre d’activités variées : conférences, cours publics, visites, promenades urbaines et différents stages pour devenir incollable sur l’histoire de notre patrimoine architectural.

New temple for Heritage

The City of Architecture and Heritage finally opens its doors

After 5 years of works and 13 years of negotiations, the City of Architecture and Heritage has finally revealed its 23 000 m ² of space entirely dedicated to the French monuments. Discover the three galleries respectively dedicated to moldings from the Romanic period to the Renaissance, French art's representative painting from the XIIth to the XVIth century, and French modern and contemporary  architecture.
A first exhibition will present the Blown Data House, a building in the vein of the environmental approach by the architects Dominique Jakob and Brendan Macfarlane. The city will regularly offer a large number of activities: conferences, public courses, visits, urban walks and different training courses so that nobody could catch you out on the history of our architectural heritage.
